First there were Three Sons

Derrick Richard was the first born, then there was Bruce Andrew and Christian Aubrey. Their mother, Pauline, was born in Cardiff, Wales and came to the US from London, with her parents, the Gerald Allens when she was 16 or 17 years old. We were married about two years later.

We lived together in Chicago from 1958 to 1963.

That's Bruce on the left kissing his brother Chris, on Chris' 1st birthday. Chicago is famous for it's alleys and we had one in the back of the building where we lived in Rogers Park. Derrick looks so vulnerable in one of the pictures I took while they played there.

Far left, Chris and Cathy, next Diana and Derrick and on the right, Michael and Bruce, now all grown up.

From 1977 to 1989 I didn't know where they were. Then I received an invitation to Chris and Cathy's wedding reception in Beloit, Wisc. After that memorable day, I met with Derrick and Diana at Chris and Cathy's house in Calif. Summer 1995 I received word from Bruce who wanted to introduce me to Michael when they came to New York to celebrate their commitment to each other.

Where is Nathan? No. 4? Have you seen him? Is he OK?
